Mondsüchtig / Moonstruck

Zwar habe ich den Film "goodnight nobody" noch nicht gesehen, aber der Trailer hat mich mit seiner verträumten, melancholisch-lunatischen Machart bereits restlos überzeugt. Zudem sollte man als Kinofreund auch einmal einheimisches Schaffen honorieren. Wünsch euch in diesem Sinne eine geruhsame Nacht und süsse Träume. 

Even though I haven't seen the film "goodnight nobody" yet, the trailer completely convinced me with its dreamy, melancholic-lunatic make. Besides, being a friend of cinema, one should also honour home-grown work. In this spirit I'm wishing you a peaceful night and sweet dreams.

Fragility

Um Mitternacht herum- den Kopf voll von Impressionen der vergangenen Tage- trieb mich ein Gefühl der Ruhelosigkeit vor den Fernseher. Dann, plötzlicher Szenenwechsel: die stimmstarken, zerbrechlichen Lieder von Sophie Hunger zogen mich in ihren Bann und liessen die Welt um mich herum sanft entschwinden. Eine ähnlich fragile Schönheit liegt diesen Ohrringen von Asos  inne. Die idealen Begleiter zu leichten Frühlingskleidern. Ach, hoffentlich wirds bald wärmer.  Wünsch euch einen wunderbaren Tag.

Around midnight- my head full of impressions of the last few days- a feeling of restlessness drove me to the television. Then, a sudden change of scenery: the vocally strong, fragile songs by Sophie Hunger completely mezmerized me and made the world gently disappear. A similar fragile beauty lies in these earrings by Asos. The ideal companion for light spring dresses. Oh, hopefully it gets warmer soon. Wishing you a wonderful day.

Alle ärgern sich über die Kälte und die ewigen Nebelschwaden. Dabei, es ist doch alles eine Frage des Blickwinkels. Zumindest auf diesen wunder-wunderschönen Fotografien (erhältich bei diesem Etsyverkäufer) kann man seinen Frieden mit dem Winter schliessen. Wünsch euch einen schönen Tag.

Ich bin gerade über diese Zeichnungsserie des Illustrators Silav gestolpert und ich muss sagen, mir gefallen diese farbenfrohen, organischen Formen.  Erinnert etwas an den Chemieunterricht, nicht?  Wünsch euch einen schönen Abend.

Also, eigentlich lese ich das Gratismagazin "Friday" nur wegen der amüsanten Kolumne von Miss Friday. Die aktuelle Ausgabe machte mich aber auf den Comic "The Beats" aufmerksam. In diesem Graphic Novel werden die Lebensläufe der Haupt- aber auch der Nebenfiguren der Beatniks vorgestellt. Ein Muss für alle Liebhaber dieser Literaturhelden! Merci, Friday! Well I actually only ever read the free magazine "Friday" because of its amusing column by Miss Friday. But the latest issue called my attention to the comic "The Beats". In this graphic novel you get introduced to the biographies of the protagonists, but also the "supporting actors" of the Beatniks. A must-read for all the lovers of these heroes of literature! Der Film "Les amours imaginaires" vom talentierten Herrn Xavier Dolan ist genau das Richtige, um dem trüben Januar Paroli zu bieten. Die verträumten Bilder, die schönen Darsteller und die pikante Handlung vertreiben im Handumdrehen die Wintermelancholie. Wünsch euch einen wunderschönen Tag.

The film "Les amours imaginaires" by the talented Mister Xavier Dolan is just the right thing to defy the dreariness of January. The dreamy images, the beautiful cast and the juicy plot manage to beat the melancholia of winter in the blink of an eye. Wishing you a marvellous day.

Reclaim the street

"Exit through the Gift Shop" rangiert auf meiner Top 10 Filmliste 2010 ganz weit oben. Die Doku überzeugt nicht nur durch ihren spannend-amüsanten Inhalt, sondern weckt durch die pure Kreativität der Street Art-Künstler die Lust, sich selber gestalterisch auszutoben. Ach, diese coolen Hunde! Also, schaut euch den Film unbedingt selber an- natürlich im Kino. Wünsch euch einen schönen Tag. And- the streets are us!

"Exit through the Gift Shop" is quite far up in my Top 10 film list 2010. The documentary doesn't only satisfy with an enthralling-amusing content, but also inspires you, through the sheer creativity of the street artists, to be creative yourself. Oh, these kool kats!
