Manchmal (ver-)zweifele ich etwas am menschlichen Wesen. Diese graumsamen Kriege und der gegenseitige Hass zwischen den unterschiedlichen Kultur- und Religionsgemeinschaften, verdüstern mir ab und zu die eh schon grauen Wintertage. In solchen Stimmungen tut es gut, dass sich im Kleinen die herzerwärmende, sanfte und verletzliche Seite des Homo sapiens sapiens offenbart. Die Illustratorin Sophie Blackall nahm sich "Schatzkästchen-Anzeigen" vor und transformiert solch hoffnungsvolle, kurze Texte in wunderschöne Bilder, welche sie im wochenrhytmus auf ihrem Blog veröffentlicht. Merci an "Oh, hello there", dass sie mich auf dieses Projekt aufmerksam gemacht hat. Wünsch einen schönen Abend.
Sometimes human kind makes me despair a little. These cruel wars and mutual hatred between different cultures and religious groups make the winter days seem even more dreary. In such moods there`s nothing better than seeing the heartwarming, kinf and vulnerable sidw of the sapient, at least in the microcosm of things. The illustrator Sophie Blackall deals with love-advertisments and transforms such hopeful, short texts into wonderful paintings wich she then publishes on her blog on a weekly basis.
