Diese unsägliche Vermarktung der intimsten und wichtigsten Momente im Leben von Prominenten stösst mir seit längerem etwas auf. Versteht mich nicht falsch, ich bin eine treue Leserin der Klatsch & Traschspalten der Zeitungen. Aber, wäre ich ein Promi, würde ich alles daran setzen, dass zumindest die Hochzeitszeremonie von der Öffentlichkeit abgeschottet stattfinden und nicht mit einer Livesendung von RTL begleitet würde. Und dann auch noch die Hochzeitsgäste zu einem rot-schwarzen Dresscode zu verdonnern, der mich- unter uns gesagt- eher an ein Dominastudio erinnert. Aus aktuellem Anlass möchte ich heute daher ein kleines, feines Buch vorstellen, das sich mit dem stilvollen Verhalten aus einander setzt. "Stil zeigen- Handbuch für Gesellschaft und Umgangsform". Die Texte von Philipp Tingler sind unglaublich amüsant, mit einer Prise dunkelschwarzestem britischen Humor gespickt. Dazu kommen noch die schönen und auch schampar treffenden Illustrationen von Daniel Müller. Ein wahres Bijoux von einem Buch, bei dem man die eine oder andere Umgangsform unbedingt übernehmen sollte.

This unspeakable marketing of the most intimate and most important moments in the life of celebrities sometimes goes terribly too far. Don't get me wrong, I am myself a faithful reader of the yellow press. But, if I were a celeb, I would like that at least the wedding ceremonies took place sealed off from the public and wouldn't be accompanied by a live broadcast of RTL. And to then punish your guests with this red-and-black dresscode, which, said between you and I, rather reminds me of a dominatrix' dungeon. Out of a recent occasion, I would like to therefore introduce to you today a precious, little book, that gives helpful advices on how to interact in the social world. It's called: "Stil zeigen - Handbuch für Gesellschaft und Umgangsform". (A sort of direct translation would be: "Show some class - a manual for society and manners"). But, unfortunately, there is no english version. The writing of Philipp Tingler is incredibly amusing, with a pinch of pitch-blackest british humour. In addition to that you get the beautiful and also very appropriate illustrations of Daniel Müller. A true treasure of a book, in which one simply must receive the one or other form of behaviour.
