Nun gibt es für alle Schneefreunde das ultimative Kochbuch, um zumindest zu hause etwas Winterstimmung aufkommen zu lassen. Die Australierin Jane Lawson- ach, welch süsse Ironie- hat mit "Das Winter Kochbuch- 120 Rezepte, die Leib und Seele wärmen" eine wunderschön gestaltete Sammlung typischer Wintergerichte vorgelegt. Laut Eigenwerbung "A culinary journey through the cuisines of the snowy regions of Northern Europe, celebrating the season of winter with a selection of simmering soups, hearty meals and indulgent desserts." Ich kann allen daraus nur unsere traditionelle Neujahrspeise -die Blinis- empfehlen. Die russischen Buchweizenpfannkuchen werden mit Lachs und Sauerrahm gegessen, wahlweise auch mit heissen Heidelbeeren. So köstlich! Wünsch einen schönen Tag. /

I don't seem to be the only winter fanatic. Now, for all the friends of snow, there's the ultimate cook book, to at least get some winter atmosphere in your home. The Australian Jane Lawson- awww, what sweet irony- offers a wonderfully created collection of typical winter meals. Her book is called "Snowflakes and Schnapps" and offers, according to herself "A culinary journey through the cuisines of the snowy regions of Northern Europe, celebrating the season of winter with a selection of simmering soups, hearty meals and indulgent desserts." I can only recommend our traditional New Year's meal- the Blinis. The Russian buckwheat pancakes get topped with salmon and sour cream, or, depending on tastes, with hot huckleberries. Delicious!
