Nach gefühlten Jahrzehnten stand ich gestern wieder einmal auf Langlaufskis. Angetrieben durch eine akute Schneeeuphorie organisierte ich die (viel zu grossen) Schuhe & Bretter meines Vaters und auf ging`s ins Winterparadies Zürcher Unterland. Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten hatte ich den Dreh wieder raus und genoss in vollen Zügen diese zwar anstrengende, aber nicht minder entspannende Fortbewegungsart. Das ganze hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich nun überlege, zwei, drei Tage in die Berge zu fahren, um neben zugefrorenen Seen und schneebedeckten Tannen meine Runden auf der Loipe zu drehen. Schön wäre es, wenn ich dann in einer so stilvollen Unterkunft wie das Hotel Villa Flor nächtigen könnte. Mal sehen, ob noch ein bezahlbare Zimmers frei ist. Wünsch einen schönen Tag. P.S. Versteht mich nicht falsch, auch Fräulein F. fährt gerne snowboard...
After what feels like decades yesterday I've been standing on cross-country skis. Fuelled by acute snow-euphoria I got myself the (way too big) shoes and boards of my father's property and off I went into Winter Wonderland "Lowlands of Zurich". After some difficulties at the start I got the hang of it again and totally enjoyed this on the one hand exhausting but nonetheless relaxing method of travelling. I liked this whole thing so much that I'm considering to spend two, three days up the mountains to not only see frozen lakes and snow-capped fir trees, but also to do my rounds on the cross-country ski run. It would be nice if I could spend the nights in such a classy accommodation as the Hotel Villa Flor. Let's see if there's still an affordable room in there. Have a nice day. P.S. Don't get me wrong though, Miss F. also likes to snowboard...
